Nursery, Children, and Youth

Children are part of our church family and we believe children should participate in worship with their parents and the larger church body. We also offer children's Sunday school hour and children's church after worship for families who choose to send their children to these classes.
 

Our youth group meets on Monday evenings during the school year.

Worship Jesus-
Our family of God exists to worship Jesus over and above all other things. Our church gatherings exist for his glory, not our own. Therefore our church does not think of itself as a building or an organization that must promote itself. We exist to worship Jesus in all we do. We believe that true worship is a living sacrifice across all of life, not confined to "church events." Likewise, worship should not be regarded as songs and music on Sundays, or personal devotional times during the week. It is more than these things. Our Sunday service, the whole thing, is called our worship service. Above and beyond our Sunday worship service, we believe that all that we do is to be an act of worship, so everything our church does is to exalt Christ. Our Bible teaching, loving community, and participation in spreading the gospel are ways that we worship Jesus, they are not the goal itself, nor does our church exist for its own promotion or growth. Whatever we do, we do to glorify God, and we do it in accordance with his will. We believe this should be practiced by the people of the church for seven days a week, not only when participating in a corporate church function.
 

Teach the Bible –

Our church believes in teaching the Bible at all of our services, in our children, youth, and adult ministries. Teaching the Bible takes the form of group discussion, direct preaching and teaching, and also through crafts, games, activities, and personal connections. The Bible is the direct words of God on which our church is founded. We believe that knowledge of the Bible, and widespread teaching of the Bible will change our families, community, nation, and world in ways that are impossible without dedication to the scriptures.

Loving Community–

We believe the church ought to love one another as a family of God. We intentionally work to build and strengthen our love for one another within the church because the love of God has filled us and overflows from us toward one another. We find genuine joy in meeting new believers and in bringing non-believers into God's kingdom. We eat communion together as a church body because communion with God is meant to be shared and enjoyed with others, just as Jesus shared the first communion at a table with his disciples.

 

Sharing With Others –

Our church believes that our members are not fully engaged with God’s kingdom unless we are sharing our faith with others. In the same way, our church itself is not successful unless it has started other churches. The Great Commission, given by Jesus, is for us to multiply disciples over the entire world, and our church strives to do our part in this great endeavor.
